Asian farmed fish 'not a threat'
FonFisk A/S began in Hanstholm and has been a steady presence there since 1986 - this year celebrating its 25th anniversary. General manager Carsten Beith is very positive about Hanstholm and its strong presence in the Danish and European fishing industry. "Hanstholm is the largest processing centre for white fish in Denmark. There is plenty of healthy competition and this is good for the market." Fresh fish for Copenhagen

Flexible quota trading for 'pool' members
Hanstholm Fiskeriforening is one of the largest of the fishermen's pools in Denmark - each one a collaborating to deal with quotas, regulations and industry challenges. To date, Hanstholm pool has 295 members representing 292 vessels from all over Denmark.
