Automatic grading of sea packed fish

The equipment for automatic grading of sea packed fish is under construction at "Maskinfabrikken Hillerslev A/S". The equipment will for instance be able to grade the fish according to species, size, date of catch, catch area and 5 more not yet specified criteria. The grading will to begin with take place by putting bar codes on the crate, in the long term by means of a chip. The existing bar codes from "Scanvægt" may be read - like the coming bar codes from Marel weighing machines may be read, then latter with the species code - in Danish and English. The capacity of the plant will amount to 500 crates per hour and 32 different gradings may be handled.

The plant is to be placed in the existing hall 3A at pier 37 and after grading the fish is brought to hall 3B. Hall 3B will also be used as buffer storage.

Week 4 - 2010: Construction of 1/3 of the intermediate storage of the plant.
