Co-operation between Port of Hanstholm and Hanstholm Port Forum

Co-operation, determination and enterprise..

- these are the qualities that the 2 female managers of Port of Hanstholm and Hanstholm Port Forum share – and on basis of this the 2 boards of directors are now content to see – that the platform for a mutual development of the Port as well as of the companies at Hanstholm – rests on a stable and solid foundation. Therefore, it is also with great pleasure that the 2 boards can now announce that a new long lasting agreement of co-operation between Port of Hanstholm and Hanstholm Port Forum regarding marketing and development tasks has been prepared – in short – co-operation in all essential areas between the 2 organisations.

”The agreement helps cementing that the optimism at Hanstholm is intact and that everyone at Hanstholm pulls in the same direction , which is forward ”– says General Manager of the Port, Ms. Birgitte Juhl and continues. ”I see the co-operation with the Port Forum as crucial for the realization of the development plans and for the achievement of the local support of the plans, which is very essential for the success that we want the Port of Hanstholm to be.”

Ms. Britta Vang Mikkelsen, general manager of the Port Forum continues. ” I would like to use this opportunity to quite officially welcome Birgitte to Hanstholm. It has been a tough and turbulent period, but I think that she during the first 100 days has more than proven her value for the community and proven that she will the co-operation  – for the sake of the whole community – which pleases me – and I am sure that this also pleases the many members of Hanstholm Port Forum.”

Now the co-operation agreement is in place and the two managers can concentrate 100% on the daily work – among this cast the parts best possible – and there is enough to work on – on the 22/10 a public meeting will be held concerning port development plans, there is the development project called the preliminary study – a growth forum project, exhibitions, guests and fortunately bigger fish landings to Hanstholm than ever before..
