DKK 30 million will give Port of Hanstholm extra speed

Port of Hanstholm has together with the Fiscal Consolidation Agreement been granted DKK 30 million for the development plan for Hanstholm.

The money has now been given free and the work with the development plan may therefore continue with extra speed.

The money makes it among other things possible to significantly speed up the Climate and Environment Research (VVM) and it is expected to be finished at the end of 2012.

Apart from this the money is to be used for analysis concerning design of the port and navigation conditions. A work group will be appointed to assist with the detailed plan for the new fishing port – which will be the present port. This work will take place in 2011.

Contemporary with this work invitations for tender for the wind turbine project of the Port of Hanstholm have been sent out. This tender is one of the corner stones of the funding plan so the result is greatly anticipated. 

In addition to this much work is put into the business strategy and the funding plan and hopefully funding falls into place during this year.
