The new route of Master Ferries, Hanstholm-Kristianssand reports success!

The new route rounds 200.000 guests.

Since the opening April 26^th the Master Ferries quick-route between Hanstholm and Kristianssand has been a success.

HANSTHOLM: The possibility to cross Skagerak in a couple of hours has turned out to be a success.

Since Master Ferries opened the quick-route between Hanstholm and Kristianssand on April 26^th more than 200.000 passengers have been on board “Master Cat”, with July as the present record. The number of passengers in July was 93.000.

The tendency from July has continued into August, where we also are very satisfied with the booking, says Sales Manager Trond Baade, Master Ferries.

During August there have been nearly 50.000 passengers on board “Master Cat”, and Trond Baade notes, that is has been a different audience than in July, where Norwegian and Danish people filled up “Master Cat”.

A lot of the passengers in August came from other European countries, mostly Germany. And it is remarkable, not least because the marketing in this area has been very poor, but somehow people must have heard of our offers from mouth to ear, says Trond Baade and expects that a more determined marketing of the route will increase the number of passengers.

The prognoses for September are also promising. Again it will be the Norwegian people on a weekend-trip or a shopping-trip filling up the ferry.

Holiday on Ski

Master Ferries has not yet published the schedule for October and onwards in the winter. It is on its way and contains offers of ski-trips to the Norwegian mountains, mainly for the Danes who would like a long weekend in the snow.

We begin with an offer for the winter covering a trip including stay-over at a very fair price, says Trond Baade and mentions Ejve in Setesdalen as one of the areas, that will be in the program.

Master Ferries will offer both drive-on-your-own or bus-travel.
