The board of directors and the general management of the Port of Hanstholm very much regret that the enterprisers behind Thy Ferries did not succeed in reaching the 30 million DKK. We appreciate the energetic effort of the enterprisers - an effort which we would really have liked to bear fruit. We would however like to stress that both board and management are continously optimistic, as the report, which the Port of Hanstholm and the Municipality of Thisted together with other players have had prepared, points out that there is a basis for a connection between Hanstholm and kristiansand. It is still our opinion that Port of Hanstholm is positioned very attractively for both the southern and western Norway and a good deal of other destinations and this is why the work the development plan of the port continues unchangedly. We firmly believe that Port of Hanstholm by means of the development plan will appear even more attractive for ferry operators and because of this, port development is vital to the port future.
